Van Leven is a candidate for the Ukrainian Colos training

by time news

Three weeks after he was fired from coaching Maccabi Tel Aviv, will Patrick Van Leven find a new team? According to Russian media, the Ukrainian colossus has marked the Dutchman as one of the candidates to coach the team, alongside Oleg Kononov who previously coached Latvia Riga and Spartak Moscow.

After 13 rounds, Colos is ranked 11th with 11 points and is with just three league wins so far. If Van Leven does get the job, it will be only the second senior team in his incredible career.

The Dutchman has been known in Ukrainian football since his days as technical director of the youth department of Shakhtar Donetsk. Van Leven worked at the Ukrainian Luxury Club for seven years and is considered a valued football figure in the country.
