Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami drew 0-0 with Vissel Kobe, in a friendly game, which was held in Japan. The Japanese team later got the better of the penalty shoot-out by 4-3, but the match was mainly marked by Sergio Busquets’ chilling injury.
The former Barcelona midfielder was a starter in the North American team, as were Jordi Alba and Luis Suárez, while Messi entered in the 60th minute of the match, and in the 20th minute, Busquets fell injured on the pitch.
The 35-year-old player suffered a harsh challenge from Osako, who played the ball, but also hit the Spaniard’s left ankle, which ended up completely bending his leg.
The midfielder was immediately in a lot of pain and left the field limping, but on his own foot. The extent of the injury is not yet known. What is certain is that Inter Miami starts MLS in two weeks, on February 22, against Real Salt Lake.
