Russia brings to about 250,000 Ukrainian refugees who have arrived in the country from the Donbas region
The Russian authorities have raised this Monday to about 250,000 the number of Ukrainian refugees who have arrived in the country from the Donbas region, in the east of the country, amid the Russian invasion, which began on February 24 by order of the president. Russian, Vladimir Putin.
Official sources quoted by the Russian news agency TASS have indicated that more than 247,000 people “have crossed the Russian border from the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics”, whose independence was recognized by Putin days before the start of the offensive.
Thus, they have highlighted that among the refugees there are about 55,000 children, while they have stressed that another 32,000 people, including an undetermined number of foreign citizens, have left Ukraine through border posts with Russia and the Crimean peninsula.
