Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, Minister of State for Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Ministry, said that Bangabandhu is the source of inspiration for the Bengali nation. Inspired by his principles and ideals, everyone should work unitedly to build a smart Bangladesh.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment on the occasion of celebrating the 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day at Vijay-71 Hall of Expatriate Welfare Bhawan on Monday (March 18).

Historian and writer Muntasir Mamun was present as the main discussant in the discussion meeting. In addition, famous novelist Selina Hossain, secretary of Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment. Senior officials of the ministry including Ruhul Amin were present at this time.

In the speech of the chief guest, the state minister said that the current government is making relentless efforts to implement the Vision 2041 announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to make Bangabandhu’s dream a reality.

He also said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already established Digital Bangladesh, now she has set a goal to establish Smart Bangladesh. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, everyone should continue their all-out efforts to build Smart Bangladesh through the implementation of ‘Vision 2041’.

The main speaker of the program, historian and writer Muntasir Mamun discussed in detail the colorful political life and ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

After the ceremony, Minister of State for Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, MP inaugurated the architecture titled ‘Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’ installed in Pravasi Kalyan Bhavan.
