Court ordered values to be blocked, but nothing was found in the accounts of former mayors

The court did not find R$1 in the bank accounts of the former mayors of Campo Grande, Alcides Bernal (PP) and Gilmar Olarte, and now the MPMS (Public Ministry of Mato Grosso do Sul) is asking for the seizure of properties. The amount charged is R$8.5 million. R$2,946,981.62 from Bernal and R$5,572,022.06 from Olarte.
On August 28, the judge of the 2nd Court of Homogeneous Diffuse, Collective and Individual Rights, Marcelo Ivo de Oliveira, ordered the online blocking of money in bank accounts. But, on the 19th, a document from Sisbajud (a system for sending court orders to constrict values electronically) indicated that there were no values in the banks.
Hours later, on October 19, prosecutor Adriano Lobo Viana de Resende attached a document reinforcing the request to seize the properties of the two former mayors. The judge has not yet commented on the request.
The amounts charged to Bernal and Olarte are related to the conviction for irregular agreements with Omep (World Organization for Pre-School Education) and Seleta (Charitable and Humanitarian Society), which violated the LRF (Fiscal Responsibility Law).
The report contacted the defense of Gilmar Olarte, who is expected to take a position in the afternoon on the MPMS request. O Campo Grande News was unable to contact Alcides Bernal, after attempts by phone call and WhatsApp message.
