A workshop on “Climate Change Impacts and Cascading Effects on Emergency Response” was held on March 28 at Prime University located in Mirpur of the capital.

The workshop was jointly organized by Prime University and Community Development for Peace (CDP).

Prime University Board of Trustees Chairman Eng. Md. Tauhidur Rahman, CIP presided over the workshop. Director General of Disaster Management Department was present as the chief guest in the event. Mizanur Rahman.

Md. Mizanur Rahman said that the government is always active in dealing with disasters and pre-disaster and post-disaster preparations. As a result, it has been possible to reduce the death rate and the amount of damage due to proper management of the pre-disaster and post-disaster activities of the disaster management department.

Students from various departments of Prime University participated in the workshop. This workshop will be able to increase the awareness among the students about climate change and how different disasters can affect human life.
