Kuwait City: Authorities in Kuwait are continuing to conduct inspections aimed at arresting law-breaking expatriates. Official figures show that 9,517 law breakers were deported from the country in the last four months. These figures are from August to the end of November this year.

Officials informed that those who were working in Kuwait in violation of labor laws and those who had come here without complying with the country’s residence laws were arrested. Out of 9,517 people who were deported, 1,065 were arrested in the month of November alone. The nationwide inspection is being conducted by three departments under the Ministry of Home Affairs with the aim of phasing out low-income expatriate workers from the country and detecting violations such as visa peddling and fraud.

Massage parlors for men, workplaces such as agriculture and fishing, and scrap yards were searched. During this period, more inspections were conducted targeting law breakers in Mutlaa, Sulaibia and Kabad. The inspection campaign is proceeding under the direct instructions of Sheikh Talal Al Khalid, Minister of Interior and Deputy Prime Minister. Officials said they will continue to take necessary measures to completely prevent labor market laws.
