US President Joe Biden has called on American executives to mandate coronavirus vaccinations for their employees following the final approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Pfizer and BioNTech vaccines, CBS News reports.
“If you run a business, a not-for-profit organization, or a state or local executive, and you were waiting for full FDA approval to introduce a vaccination requirement, I urge you to do so now, enter that requirement. Repeat what I did last month, ask your employees to get vaccinated, otherwise they will face severe restrictions, ”Biden said.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) finally approved the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine for those over 16 on August 23. The FDA noted that the drug will be available to individuals between the ages of 12 and 15 in emergency situations. In December last year, the vaccine received fast-track regulatory certification for emergency use.
