New Delhi – The list of candidates for the fourth phase of the Congress has been announced. Uttar Pradesh PCC president Ajay Rai will be the Congress candidate against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi. Ajay Rai was the Congress candidate against Modi in Varanasi in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as well. Danish Ali, who left BSP and joined Congress from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, will be the candidate. Danish Ali is being nominated as a candidate by rejecting the opposition of the local element.

Digvijay Singh will seek constituency from Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh. Karti Chidambaram will contest from Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu. The Congress announced 46 candidates in the fourth phase list from various constituencies in the states of Assam, Andaman, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Bengal. 18 candidates for the Sikkam assembly elections have been announced.
