A man was arrested after allegedly breaking into singer Drake’s Beverly Hills mansion on Thursday night. The rapper, who purchased the lavish property for $75 million last year, was not home at the time of the break-in, TMZ reported.

Drake’s security team called police after seeing a man leave the property holding an item he took from the home. The identity of the burglar has not been released, but it is known that he managed to escape on foot before the police arrived at the property.

Hours after police conducted a thorough search of the mansion area, officers spotted a man walking down the street who matched the description given by one of Drake’s security guards. The suspect was later arrested.

This is not the first time that the rapper’s mansion in Los Angeles has been the focus of a burglary. In July 2022, a 23-year-old man was arrested during an attempt to break into a house.

The sprawling mansion, nestled between Bel Air and the Hollywood Hills, has 10 bedrooms and a whopping 22 bathrooms. Drake purchased the mansion from British singer Robbie Williams. The mansion is more than 6000 square meters on an area of more than 80 dunams. The house has an elevator, a wine cellar and a garage where the singer boasts a collection of 11 cars.
