On the left, the path to Strasbourg and Brussels passes through the Overseas Territories. These days, the candidates or supporters of the four lists present in the European elections on June 9 have all scheduled a trip in their diary. As the campaign begins, there is no question of ignoring these territories where the left was in full swing in the last legislative elections. At the beginning of the month, the environmentalist candidate Marie Toussaint and her running mate Priscilla Ludosky, a Yellow Vest figure born in Martinique, traveled to Guadeloupe and Martinique. They were imitated this week by the boss of environmentalists Marine Tondelier, who also pushed as far as Guyana. The rebellious candidate Manon Aubry and the boss of LFI deputies Mathilde Panot took off on Tuesday March 19 for the Antilles where they planned two meetings.

According to our information, PS boss Olivier Faure is expected in Reunion during the first half of April to defend the colors of his candidate Raphaël Glucksmann who will go overseas after April 15. Communist candidate Léon Deffontaines is also considering a trip to the Indian Ocean island with several running mates, including a leader of the Reunion Communist Party.
