ABU DHABI – The Abu Dhabi Department of Health has launched a Poison and Drugs Information Service to prevent poisoning and drug overdose. A hotline (800 424) has also been established for treatment and guidance in this regard.
The service is available from 7 am to 11 pm on weekdays. Educate people about safe use of medicines and prevention of poisoning. The scheme aims to ensure the health and safety of people by limiting complications.
Specially trained professionals in the field of toxicology and overdose management are assigned to the service. Dr. RIC Executive Director of the Health Department said that there is a plan to increase the hotline service to 24 hours seven days a week. Asma Al Mannai said. In the second phase, training will also be given to health care workers.
