Russian President Vladimir Putin said that if American troops enter Ukraine, Russia will treat them as interventionists, Reuters reported. Putin spoke to two Russian media outlets.
Regarding Ukraine, he stated in the interview that Russia is ready to talk about this country, but only when the talks are based on realities. Regarding the situation on the “contact line”, Putin said that there the initiative “has been completely handed over” to the Russian forces.
Regarding the Ukrainian attacks, Putin stated that their main goal was, if not to disrupt the presidential elections in Russia, at least to somehow hinder the normal process of citizens’ declaration of will.
In an interview with the Russian news agency “RIA” and the Russian television “Rossiya-1”, the president also said that if the United States conducts a nuclear test, then Russia can do the same.
He adds that Russia is ready – from a military-technological point of view – for a nuclear war, but so far no one is in a hurry for that, BTA reported.

the circumstances under which Russia may use its weapons. “Weapons exist for us to use,” Putin said. “We have our own principles,” he added.
In the interview, Putin said that Russia does not interfere in any election and will work with whoever is elected president of the United States.
“We do not interfere in any way in any election. And as I have stated many times, we will work with any leader whom the American people, the American voter, trusts,” Putin said.
He also stated that Donald Trump, when he was president, criticized him for sympathizing with current US President Joe Biden.
In front of both media outlets, Putin stated that Russia will deploy troops on the border with Finland after it joins NATO. He described the joining of Finland and Sweden to the alliance as a “senseless step” and added that Russia will deploy destruction systems and military personnel on the border with Finland. “We had no military there, but now we will. There were no destruction systems there, but now they will appear,” Putin said.
In the interview, the Russian president also stated that North Korea did not ask for nuclear assistance from Russia and recalled that it has its own nuclear umbrella. “They didn’t ask anything from us,” Putin said of the North Koreans.
The President of Russia also said that he does not plan any changes in the government because it is working well.
