Governor Shapsha: “Invasion” in the Kaluga region was postponed to 2024

Governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha said that this year the music festival “Invasion” in the region will not take place. The rock festival was supposed to take place in early August in the village of Mityaevo in the Borovsky district, and it would be the first after a three-year break provoked by a ban on mass events in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.

“Now is not the time for the Invasion,” Shapsha said.

According to him, earlier he instructed his subordinates to draw up a report on the readiness of the region to hold the event, “necessarily taking into account the opinion of the residents,” and, based on the results of communication with the organizers and law enforcement officers, he made a decision.

“The venue will change,” the official said. “The festival is being postponed – we are postponing the Invasion in the Kaluga region to 2024.”
