Chennai: Leader of Opposition Edappadi Palaniswami has condemned the increase in the price of ghee and butter.
Opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami’s post on his Twitter page condemning the increase in the price of ghee and butter, said, “I strongly condemn the DMK government for increasing the price of ghee thrice in nine months and hitting the stomachs of the poor people. Ghee, which was available for Rs. 515 last March, is now Rs.115 raised and sold at Rs.630.
This DMK government has made the products available to the poor and the middle class to the point where only the rich can use them. Today they have also increased the price of butter by Rs.20 per kg. Ordinary people are getting their minimum nutrition from milk and milk products. Now, is it the name to prevent them from getting even that?” he said in the post.
My strong condemnation to this Vidya government for increasing the price of ghee three times in nine months and hitting the stomach of the poor people.
