Kottayam: In the murder case of a mimicry artist, his girlfriend and the members of the Quotation team were sentenced to life imprisonment. The verdict was passed by the Kottayam Additional Sessions Court. Additional Sessions Judge VB Sujayamma delivered the judgment in the case. The verdict was handed down in the murder case of mimicry artist Changanassery Mungot Puthuparambil Lenish (31).
Lenish’s girlfriend is Thrikkodithanam Kadamanchira Parayil Puthuparambil Sreekala (44), Quotation team members Mammootty Kanichukulam Vettithanam Shijo Sebastian (28), Godamper Gopalsheril Shyamkumar (Hippie Shyam-31) and Vithirunnel Ramesan (28).
The incident took place on November 23, 2013 at 11 am. The murder took place at the Naveen Home Nursing Home run by Srikalah near SH Mount. Police found that Lenish was suspected of having an affair with other women.
The quotation was for Rs 25,000. Lenish died of maladaptation. The body was bagged and dumped at a rubber plantation on Pampady Kunnepalam Road. The accused were led by former Kanjirapally DySP S Suresh Kumar, Pampady ex-inspector Saju K Varghese and former SI U Sreejith. Additional Public Prosecutor Girija Biju appeared for the prosecution.
