The ok of the organ of the Medicines Agency is contained in a circular, signed by the general director of Health Prevention of the Ministry of Health, Giovanni Rezza, which states that “it is also possible to use the vaccine (Moderna) as a reminder of a primary vaccination course “.
It is specified that “the ‘booster’ dose of the Spikevax vaccine is 50 mcg in 0.25 ml, corresponding to half the dose of that used for the primary cycle”.
Furthermore, it should be noted that “it can be used after at least 6 months from the completion of the primary vaccination cycle, regardless of the vaccine previously used, in favor of subjects” for whom the third dose is currently authorized.
