St. Helen. – With the purpose of maintaining the 161.35 km Chongón – Santa Elena – Progreso – Playas road in good service and passability conditions, the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), through the concessionaire CVialco SA, carries out work of potholes in the Chongón – Olmedo and Progreso – Playas sections of 53 and 27 kilometers, respectively.

The Chongón – Salinas – Playas road system, under the model of delegation to the private sector, is under constant maintenance to safely link extensive productive, agricultural, tourist and commercial areas of the provinces of Guayas and Santa Elena.

The concessionaire CVialco SA is in charge of keeping the road clear, in addition to carrying out patching work, laying asphalt, signage, among other conservation tasks.

The Government of El Nuevo Ecuador works in a coordinated and joint manner with the private sector, in order to provide Ecuadorians with first-rate avenues, among other benefits such as free assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, tow truck, ambulance, permanent road surveillance and supervision.
