Plane disappears from radar in Siberia, all 17 on board survived

Time.news – A plane with 17 people disappeared from the radar and made an emergency landing near Tomsk, in Siberia, but passengers and crew members survived. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergencies after the aircraft was located. The plane, an Antonov-28 of the local company ‘Siberia legkaya aviazia’ (Siberian Light Aviation), it had taken off from Kedrovy and was supposed to land in Tomsk but shortly before it went off the radar and activated the distress signals. On board were 14 passengers, including four children, and three crew members. Two helicopters participated in the research.

The incident in Kamchatka

Earlier this month, an An-26 crashed in the eastern Russian region of Kamchatka. causing the deaths of the 28 people on board. The Antonovs – involved in several accidents in recent years – are Soviet-made aircraft still in use throughout the former USSR for both civil and military transport.
