Last week, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s leading IT sector exporter, posted a 5.2 percent rise in net profit at Rs 9,478 crore in the June quarter. The company’s Q1 revenue rose 16.2 percent to Rs 52,758 crore. But operating profit margin fell to 23.1 percent.
Radhakishen Damani’s Demart’s profit rose six-fold to Rs 680 crore. Its revenue from operations rose 93.66 percent to Rs 10,038.07 crore as against Rs 5,183.12 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
