Karachi:

Due to severe economic crisis and fuel shortage in Pakistan, people are deeply dissatisfied with the ruling regime. For the past 2 years, the country has been suffering from the crisis including the Corona pandemic, economic recession, and the flood that occurred last summer.

Meanwhile, the country requested a financial assistance worth 170 million US dollars from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) during August last year. Pakistan also requested the United States to help the International Monetary Fund to release necessary funds to resolve the economic crisis.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has returned from a climate conference in Egypt. He went to London, England to meet his elder brother Nawaz Sharif. He also participated in some government related meetings. He also traveled to the United Arab Emirates to seek financial assistance.

During Shahbaz Sharif’s recent 2-day visit to the UAE, the UAE approved an extension of the existing US$ 200 million and agreed to provide an additional US$ 100 million.

During the Geneva conference, the international countries had promised to provide one thousand billion US dollars to help recover from the floods that devastated the country due to seasonal effects last summer.

In this case, former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party leader Imran Khan said in an interview to a news agency:

Look what this imported government is doing to Pakistan. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is touring different countries in the role of a beggar. But no one gave him even a single penny.

Sharif has even begged India for talks. But New Delhi has told him to end terrorism first (and then consider talks with Pakistan).

He said.
