An open event on the subject of “Smog: A threat to the basin and the city of Ioannina” is co-organized by the 4th GEL Ioannina “Academy” and the European Information Center of Epirus on Wednesday, March 27, at 6 pm, in the “Archbishop Spyridon” Hall of Zosimaia Pedagogical Academy.


The event is organized within the framework of the program “Ambassador Schools of the European Parliament” and experts in health and environment, as well as representatives of local authorities and MEPs, participate as guest speakers.
At the beginning of the event, the director of the 4th GEL Ioannina, Anastasia Giannakou, the head of the European Information Center will address a greeting
Epirus – Europe Direct Epirus Dimitrios Golas, the regional governor of Epirus Alexandros Kahrimanis, the mayor of Ioannina Thomas Begas and the director of Secondary Education of Ioannina Prefecture Stamatia Logothetis.
After a musical introduction with the composition “On the Waves of the Danube” by Johann Strauss and a music and dance act, the presentation of the program “Schools – Ambassadors of the European Parliament” will follow by the candidate Junior Ambassador, student of the 2nd Lyceum Ypapantis – Natalia Papageorgiou.
