Police through loudspeakers warned those gathered on Pushkinskaya Square about responsibility for participating in the illegal action of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, which had previously been announced by the party, RIA Novosti reported.

In total, about 400 people took part in the uncoordinated event, according to the capital’s Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As noted by TASS, the police did not detain the protesters, limiting themselves to the inclusion of patriotic songs that drowned out the speeches of the protesters.

The metropolitan police warned about the illegality of this event the day before. They recalled that 30 participants in the uncoordinated action on Pushkinskaya Square on September 20, which gathered about 300 participants and was held by the chairman of the Moscow city committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Valery Rashkin, have already been brought to justice under Art. 20.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.

The Moscow Mayor’s Office did not approve the rallies announced by the Communist Party on September 25, due to the epidemiological situation. In addition, Roskomnadzor warned the editors of the website of the Moscow branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation about blocking if the announcement of an unauthorized action is not removed from there. This was announced by the secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and a candidate for the State Duma, Sergei Obukhov.
