Kannur: (www.kvartha.com) Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan said in a press conference in Kannur that the Governor is correcting the mistake he made by cooperating with the illegal appointments of the state government.
The opposition has pointed out several times that the government appointed its own people and favorites as vice-chancellors in order to make back-door appointments. Satheesan also pointed out that the Governor has now ordered the transfer of VCs based on the Supreme Court verdict. Meanwhile, Kannur University VC Dr. Gopinath Ravindran came to the scene.
Let’s see what action will be taken if the resignation is not given. Governor can fire VCs but there are criteria. Gopinath Ravindran said that the Governor’s action will create uncertainty in the universities.
My case regarding appointment of VC is now in Supreme Court. Let the court say. Let’s move accordingly. Let the eviction order come and then decide. Will not resign. If you want to dissolve, you can do so. “There has never been such an incident in India,” said Gopinath Ravindran.
