The telephone company has warned of a possible leak of customers’ personal and banking data

A Vodafone employee suffered unauthorized access to their systems this Wednesday, which has generated a “possible leak of your personal and banking data”as reported by the National Cybersecurity Institute (I’m sorry).
The incident has affected a “small number of clients”to whom the telephone company has sent an SMS to notify them of the problem.
«A collaborator has suffered unauthorized access and your data could have been affected, such as ID and bank account. If you are a prepaid customer, your bank account is not affected. For your safety, do not access unsafe websites or provide personal information if they contact you by any means,” reads the message that Vodafone has sent to its customers via SMS or email.
The two affected entities have stabilized the situation and have activated the necessary reinforcement and security measures to reduce possible damage, according to Incibe.

Do not open links in case they request data posing as your bank, do not provide personal information or information related to your card or bank account
Change the access codes to the platforms you have related to the payment of your telephone lines
