Low Choo Choon (72) from Malaysia has been working as a funeral procession driver. He has also bought some land to bury himself and his wife in the last days. At this stage, due to the financial crisis, Low Soo Soon has decided to sell the land. When looking for the land title, it was not found. As a result, when he went to the police station to file a complaint, he was in for a shock.
When he complained to the police, the police officials said, “You died sometime, that’s how it is in the record”. “I am alive…then how can I be dead?” Confused, Lo Soo Soon filed a complaint with the National Registration Department.
In this regard, he said, “I have been working in a funeral company for many years. But someone has done the funeral for me without my knowledge.
I can’t even pay the road tax as I am listed as dead in the government records. Just now I tried to convince the authorities that I was alive and paid the road tax. However, I am not able to get any government benefits at present. For a few more months, I feel as if I will be dead…” he expressed his agony.
