The data of the bulletin of Tuesday 17 August: positive rate at 2.2%
I’m5.273 i new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday there were 3,674, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 4.449.606 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 54 (yesterday there were 24), for a total of 128.510 from February 2020. People recovered or discharged they are altogether 4.191.980, that is to say 4.794 compared to yesterday (3,477 the day before). The swabs and the scenario

The pressure on the health system

The region with the highest number of victims (the only two-digit one) is Campania, with 10 deaths, followed by Sardinia and Lazio (both at 8).

The Calabria Region announces that 2 deaths reported today occurred at home, respectively on 18/11/2020 and 14/12/2020.
The Campania Region announces that following checks carried out by AA.SS.LL. it is noted that 4 of the 10 deaths registered today occurred on 12-14 August; the remaining 6 occurred in the last 48 hours.
The Emilia Romagna Region announces that 1 case has been eliminated from the cases already communicated, positive for antigen test but not confirmed by molecular swab, and 2 cases as they are not considered COVID-19 cases. I n. 7 deaths reported today occurred in the period from 7 August to 15 August 2021.
The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region announces that the total of positive cases has been reduced by 2 following an antigen test not confirmed by the subsequent molecular swab, and following a positive test removed after review of the case.
The Lazio Region announces that, due to the suspension of IT systems following a hacker attack on the regional CED, only the data relating to new positives, deaths, recoveries and hospitalizations are updated.
The Region of Sicily reports that 11,045 swabs processed with antigen tests, although communicated today, refer to previous days.
The Veneto Region announces that the number of cases confirmed by antigen tests decreased compared to yesterday as the tests confirmed by molecular ones have been relocated.
