About 10 shopping centers in Moscow have been evacuated due to bomb threats, the spokesman of the city’s emergency department said, quoted by Russian media.

“Bomb threats were received at about 10 shopping centers today. Visitors were evacuated from most of them. The buildings are being checked,” he commented, adding that several malls have already been checked and have resumed normal operations.

Earlier today, the Russian portal “Mash” reported that due to a suspected bomb threat, 700 people were evacuated today from Pirogov Hospital in Moscow, where the injured from Friday’s terrorist act at the Crocus City Hall concert hall are being treated.

According to unconfirmed information published on the portal, a letter was sent to “Pirogov” about homemade phosphorous explosive devices with a timer, writes bTV.

Since November 2019, Moscow has been dealing with a series of fake bomb threats against schools, courts, shopping malls, shops and higher education institutions made by unidentified individuals via e-mail.
