Cristhian Noboa was presented this Thursday with enthusiasm on his return to the ranks of Emelec in an event that took place at the George Capwell stadium before a crowd of blue fans, who welcomed the midfielder who has spent the last 16 years in Russia since leaving Bombillo.
Accompanied by traditional songs and the fervor of the fans, members of Boca del Pozo and other electrical partners gathered in the lower part of the General Gómez stand to celebrate the return of the experienced midfielder.
Noboa, from Guayaquil by birth and about to turn 39 on April 9, was accompanied at all times by the president of the club, Joseph Pileggi, and his representative Gonzalo ‘Chalo’ Vargas. They posed before the cameras and formalized the agreement that will link the player with Emelec until December 2024.
With a forceful statement, Noboa expressed: «I want people to be happy and that is why I came to Emelec; “Now it’s time to train, get ready and enjoy every day.”
The player also confirmed what he had already said before arriving in Guayaquil: “Emelec will be my last club.” This commitment was received with joy by President Pileggi.
«My heart is overflowing with joy to see my people happy. Football should be joy and passion. “I am grateful to him (Noboa) because he comes with his blue heart to spend his last year with us.”
Noboa’s return to Emelec marks his twelfth hiring for the 2024 season, in which the team will only participate in the LigaPro, which is scheduled to start on Friday, February 16.
