On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Railway has started selling train tickets in advance from Sunday (March 24). Tickets for April 6 will be given out today, Wednesday (March 27).
The advance sale of train tickets will continue till March 30. All tickets will be available online.
As per railway schedule, tickets for April 7 will be sold on March 28, tickets for April 8 will be sold on March 29 and tickets for April 9 will be sold on March 30. Besides, return tickets will be available from April 3. Tickets for April 13 will be available on April 3. Tickets for April 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 respectively will be available till April 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 respectively.
To facilitate the purchase of tickets for passengers, tickets for all inter-city trains running in the western region will be issued from 8 am and tickets for inter-city trains running in the eastern region from 2 pm.
100% of Eid advance and return tickets are being sold online. Passengers can purchase a maximum of one ticket for Eid advance journey and return journey. A passenger can purchase a maximum of four tickets. This ticket cannot be refunded. Besides, 25 percent of the total allotted general class seats will be sold from the standing ticket counter after the sale of all the inter-city train seats.
