Over the past day, 106,920 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Russia, the operational headquarters said. The index was the lowest since January 28. 733 patients with COVID-19 died per day.
Over the entire period of the pandemic in Russia, 16,398,036 cases of infection were detected. 13,575,652 patients have recovered from COVID-19, 351,660 have died.
In Moscow, 4358 cases were detected per day – the figure has been decreasing for the second day in a row. 338 patients were hospitalized per day, 80 people died from COVID-19.
A high daily increase in incidence was also registered in St. Petersburg – 5409 cases, Sverdlovsk region – 4772, Samara region – 4214, Novosibirsk region – 4047, Perm region – 3809 cases.
According to the headquarters on February 25, the level of herd immunity to coronavirus in three weeks decreased from 64.4% to 57.8%. Vaccinations with the first component of the coronavirus vaccine were made by 87.3 million Russians, and 83.4 million people were fully vaccinated.
