“Maccabi Haifa is piling up difficulties”: Dolev Haziza will not move to Partizan?

by time news

Despite enthusiastic reports in the Serbian media and open statements by the team members regarding their interest in him, it seems that Dolev Haziza will no longer be coming to Partizan Belgrade. In the last day, the local media are reporting a deadlock in the talks between Partizan and Maccabi Haifa, after the Serbian team, where Beavers Natcho also plays, made two offers to purchase the 27-year-old winger, which were rejected.

Gordon Petrich, coach of Partizan and who is considered to be the one who pushed for the signing of Haziza in the team, today (Friday) expressed pessimism regarding its feasibility. “It is possible that we will not make any purchases in the January transfer window. We wanted to sign some players and Haziza was at the top of the list, but as it looks at the moment, we will have to make do with the existing squad, and I have no problem with that.”

Petrich said that “Maccabi Haifa has piled up difficulties”, and hinted that Partizan is close to finally dropping the possibility of acquiring Haziza. Yesterday, the team’s professional manager Milos Vazora also said things in a similar vein. “Currently there is nothing new on the issue of firecrackers. The deal is stuck and the talks are at a standstill. There is no progress, and it is doubtful that there will be.”

Maccabi Haifa insisted on not selling Haziza despite the interest from the Serbian team, mainly in light of the fact that Nate Lavi is on his way out. The team did not want to lose more than one key player in the current transfer window.
