The expelled vice-president of Lalmonirhat District Chhatra League protested the report entitled ‘Status on Saeedi: 13 leaders of Lalmonirhat Chhatra League expelled’ published on the popular online news portal RisingBD.com on August 20, 2023. Humayun Kabir Hero. He claimed that the information given in the report is partially true. He has been expelled, this information is correct. However, the information mentioned as the reason for the expulsion is ‘mourning the death of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delawar Hossain Saeedee’ on Facebook, is not correct.
What he wrote in the protest letter, is exactly highlighted-
Assalamu Alaikum, I am Md. Humayun Kabir Hiru, Vice President, Lalmonirhat District Chhatra League. On 20/08/2023, your news published that 13 Chhatra League leaders and workers were expelled for expressing grief over Saidi’s death. There my name was written in bold, which I could see. I did not mourn the death of the notorious Razakar, Al Badr, Al Shams, anti-independence Delwar Hussain Saidi. Rather, I have demanded the expulsion of those who mourned Saidi’s death. For the party leaders and workers who were saddened by Saidi’s death, my Facebook status was – “Today is the day to recognize the camps, today you can recognize the Jamaat camps that are mentally beating inside the party.” I am protesting this news published by you.
