In his communication, the incoming Minister Ismaël Nabé, recalled that the mission of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation is to become an efficient management and development administration at the service of Guineans. During the 15 months spent at the head of the Department of Planning and International Cooperation, outgoing Minister Rose Pola Pricemou, who now replaces Ousmane Gaoual Diallo at the Department of Posts and Telecommunications, did not fail to note some achievements. From the governance of the department, through planning the development and monitoring of sectoral policies, to the strengthening of international cooperation, coordination and production of statistical information up to the capture of the dividend in accordance with the strategic axes desired by the Head of State.

“In terms of internal governance, we succeeded in providing the department with a new headquarters in a building belonging to the State. We also succeeded in setting up and operationalizing several monitoring and evaluation steering and coordination bodies. In addition, we launched the diagnostic, organizational and functional team to identify what was working and what was working less well as a strategic department. We have also equipped the department with an advanced physical and digital security system. Above all, we have improved the working environment in the department by building three regional branches: two finalized in Labé and one branch of the regional planning department and one branch in Kankan, equipped with IT equipment and also rolling stock. Beyond these achievements, we also have 6 other regional directorates of the plan which are in progress, namely: in Labé, Mamou, Kankan, Kindia, in N’zerekoré and in Boké. The prefectural planning directorates are also underway, numbering 27,” she said.
