Russia to strengthen ties with North Korea; Putin wrote a letter to Kim

Moscow: Russia with a new move to strengthen diplomatic relations with North Korea. This was revealed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin said that Russia is committed to strengthening comprehensive and constructive bilateral relations with North Korea.

He has sent a letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un mentioning this. The letter says that the new moves will be in accordance with the interests of both the countries. Kim has also sent a reply to the letter.

Kim Jong Un said that the friendship between the two countries was born with the victory over Japan in World War II. He added that the friendship will be stronger from now on. The war against Japan that arose in Russia-U. Korea friendship has strengthened and expanded over the centuries.

Kim also said in the letter that the strategic and policy cooperation, support and unity between the two countries have made further progress on the common front to break the military threat and provocation of the enemy countries.

Earlier, the Soviet Union was a major ally of North Korea. Economic cooperation between the two countries was also strong. Gradually this relationship broke down, but later became close again.

North Korea is one of the few countries to officially recognize a Russian order declaring two separatist-held regions in eastern Ukraine independent.
