In Russia, from 2022, it is planned to launch an experiment on the passage of electric vehicles on toll roads. Such a clause is contained in the Concept for the development of the production of electric vehicles, approved by the government.
“Starting next year, it is planned to launch an experiment on the free passage of electric vehicles on toll roads,” the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
Within the framework of this Concept, by 2024 it is planned to produce at least 25,000 electric vehicles and open more than 9,000 charging stations.
“A necessary condition for more active use of electric transport is the creation of an extensive network of chargers. To do this, in the fall, the government will determine a list of territories where the formation of such an infrastructure will begin. The rules for granting subsidies for the opening of stations will also be adopted, ”the government’s press service noted.
The implementation of the concept is designed in two stages: according to the results of the first stage, until 2024, the basis for the mass production of electric vehicles will be prepared, and according to the results of the second stage, until 2039, the production of electric vehicles should reach 10% of the total volume of vehicle production in the country. All in all, it is expected that at least 39,000 highly productive jobs will be created during the formation of the new industry, the Cabinet of Ministers stressed.
