Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has called upon all those who dream of overthrowing the government because there is no ground under their feet, whether they have ground under their feet or not.

He said this while addressing a courtesy meeting with the party’s nominees for the reserved women’s seat in the 12th National Assembly elections at the Prime Minister’s official residence Ganobhaban on Wednesday (February 14).

Because they are the enemy of the country, the enemy of the nation, they are the enemy of our freedom, they are the enemy of the spirit of the liberation war.

‘First they will prevent the election, they could not prevent the election. They have their masters and they tried, but they could not do it. Because the people of Bangladesh are our strength. Of all the elections in Bangladesh since 1975, the most free and fair elections have been held this year. And through this election, the people have trusted Awami League, voted for us, we came to the government.’

In response to the statement of the BNP leaders, the Awami League president said, ‘Those who look for soil under their feet, it is doubtful whether they have soil under their feet or not. I still hear that the government will overthrow it. There is no ground under our feet. They will only revolutionize by talking at length. They have decayed while making the revolution.’

‘But one thing must be remembered, because someone can do drugs, arson, corruption and any kind of misdeeds, everyone has to be alert. We have been able to deal with militancy and terrorism in the best way in Bangladesh. We do not want militancy and terrorism. We want the people of the country to live in peace. Because if there is a peaceful environment, the country will prosper.”

He said, BNP is a terrorist group. Our leaders and activists are the victims of their terror. We never do revenge politics. We respond to their misdeeds by working for the welfare of the people of the country. That is what we are giving. We value those who have been abused.

Highlighting various steps taken by her government to empower women, Sheikh Hasina said that women are progressing in every field.

He said, wherever girls are given, they work successfully. There was a time when parents did not want to teach girls more. Now girls are showing their skills in all fields. If men and women work together, the country will move forward. He expressed the hope that the self-confidence among girls will improve in education.

Sheikh Hasina considers the collection of 1549 nomination forms for the party’s 48 seats in the 12th National Parliament as a women’s awakening. He said, many people will not know, still buying means giving qualification. Everyone is eligible. But a difficult task fell upon us. If anyone is still lagging behind, it is the responsibility of today’s leadership to pull them up.

Calling on women leadership, the Prime Minister said that organization should be done. You have to stand by people and earn their trust. No one makes room, you have to make room. We have to go to the grassroots and work for the people. He advised those who will not get the nomination to make themselves more.

They were disappearing from politics. was disappearing from history. However, after enduring their hardships, prisons, oppression, and torture, they liberated this country, but still they did not get anything. Because Awami League could not stay in power. Today is the chance. So I value them.

Pointing out that the people have repeatedly voted for the Awami League because of running the state in a democratic manner, Sheikh Hasina said that many talented people are needed to run a state. We have to establish those who are talented with the signature of their merit.

At this time, Bangabandhu’s daughter expressed her conviction that she is ready to give her life if necessary to change the destiny of the people of the country to build a hunger-poverty-free, developed-rich Bangladesh.

He said, the distorted history was propagated by erasing the history. Various false and distorted histories were propagated in the name of Bangabandhu family. Touching the soil of the grave, I promised not to let freedom fail. Freedom cannot fail. My journey was not so easy. There were various conspiracies. As my parents gave their lives, I will pour my blood if necessary to build the destiny of the people of the country. Numerous Awami League leaders and activists have been tortured. I was able to endure them and return to power. Our only strength was the love of people. And work for people.

Sheikh Hasina said that Sheikh Russell was killed so that no one from the Bangabandhu family could come to power. Sometimes bullets, sometimes bombs, sometimes grenades, many things had to be faced. Leaders and activists have repeatedly saved me with their lives. Always pray for them. No one could have imagined that Awami League would come to power again and again.

Pointing out that the country’s status has increased in the world due to the various measures taken by his government, Bangabandhukanya said, “When we formed the government in 2008, there was a troubled economy and chaotic social system. Overcome them and walk the path of development. Today’s changing Bangladesh is a proof of the ambitious goals that can be achieved with a specific plan. Before hearing the name of Bangladesh, people in the world used to say Bangladesh means begging, there was a negative idea about the country. I had a lot of trouble. We are a nation of heroes. So there was a promise to change the image of the country. So that the people of the world look at Bangladesh with respect. Today, Bangladesh has established itself as a seat of prestige worldwide.

Awami League has sold a total of 1549 nomination forms for reserved seats for women. The income of the party is 7 crore 74 lakh 50 thousand taka.
