An ultra-Orthodox family from Lakewood escaped unscathed after a first-floor balcony collapsed with the sukkah After the neighbors heard the noise of a crash, they feared the worst, but when they saw the sukkah, they discovered that the family escaped unscathed by a great miracle

David’s Tabernacle Falling: An ultra-Orthodox family from Lakewood, New Jersey miraculously escaped unscathed after a balcony on which they built the Sukkah on the first floor collapsed during a Yom Tov Rishon meal. After the neighbors heard a tremendous crashing noise with screams, they feared the worst when they saw the sukkah that collapsed with the porch with the family inside, the website ‘Lakewood Alerts’ reported.

The neighbors called for help immediately when they called the local rescue organization, friendly neighbors rushed to help the family. By the grace of heaven, the whole family managed to get out of the ruins safe and sound and almost without a scratch. Since the sukkah collapsed on the holiday, no records from the scene on the night of the collapse were published.
